<p>The system has an inlet pressure pump (1) interconnecting a tank (2) with a pump inner chamber (3) of a high pressure pump (4). The pump inner chamber is connected with a pump working chamber (8) through a metering unit (10) such that fuel from the pump inner chamber is introduced into a high pressure storage. The high pressure storage is operatively connected with a fuel injector (13). A drain line (14) of the fuel injector is connected with the pump inner chamber through a connecting line (15). A filter is inserted into the connecting line.</p>
