The pastry pieces are deposited onto a continuous belt at intervals. At one end of the band is a photo-electric cell and as a pastry piece passes through the cell's rays a backward movement of the band is automatically started. A further photo-electric cell is installed at a distance from the first corresponding to the distance between two pastry pieces andd from the moment when a piece of pastry first enters the influence of the first cell until it leaves that of the second, the band receives electric impulses which displaces it. |
