<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device and a projector, in which higher luminance is achieved. <P>SOLUTION: The light source is provided with: a first light source array 10 where a plurality of first light sources for emitting first lights are arranged; a second light source array 20 where a plurality of second light sources for emitting second lights are arranged; and a first synthetic optical system 50 for synthesizing the plurality of first lights emitted by the first light source array 10 and the plurality of second lights emitted by the second light source array 20 so as not to overlap each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
