<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door switch device of a washing machine, in which switch means stops the rotation of a drum to secure safety. <P>SOLUTION: A door switch device of a washing machine comprises: holding means 13 for, when a door 1 is closed, engaging a hook 3 with an outer shell and holding the hook 3 by a sliding member 6 to prevent the door 1 from opening; a switch A provided in the vicinity of the sliding member 6, for detecting opening and closing of the door; and a pushing plate part 22 provided so as to be integrated with the hook 3, for pushing a button 25 of the switch A.
