<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry distillation and gasification typed incinerator capable of stably burning a combustible gas in a combustion furnace and capable of saving time and fuels required for combustion aid. <P>SOLUTION: The combustion furnace 3 is constituted of a mixing part 18 to which the combustible gas introduced from a dry distillation furnace 1 is introduced, a burner part 19 and a combustion part 20. In the mixing part 18, the combustible gas and a high concentration oxygen are mixed to generate a first mixed gas when oxygen supplied to the combustion furnace 3 is switched to the high concentration oxygen. In the burner part 19, the first mixed gas is burned when the oxygen supplied to the combustion furnace 3 is switched to the high concentration oxygen and the combustible gas and air are mixed to generate a second mixed gas and the generated second mixed gas is burned when the oxygen supplied to the combustion furnace 3 is switched to air.
