<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling tower system capable of safely sterilizing inside of a cooling tower. <P>SOLUTION: The cooling tower system includes: a cooling water circulation passage (200) in which cooling water is circulated; the cooling tower (100) arranged in the cooling water circulation passage (200) and cooling the cooling water; and a heat exchanger (300) arranged in the cooling water circulation passage (200) and performing heat exchange of the cooling water cooled by the cooling tower (100). The cooling tower system further includes: a water storage tank (61) storing the cooling water; a pair of electrodes (64, 65) generating streamer discharge in the cooling water stored in the water storage tank (61); and a power source part (70) applying DC voltage to the pair of electrodes (64, 65).
