<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology for utilizing a drive-supporting apparatus while increasing the opportunity of using the drive-supporting apparatus without causing an unnecessary assistance. <P>SOLUTION: A drive-supporting apparatus sets a driving path within which a vehicle is drivable by using road markings indicating driving lane boundaries or non-drivable areas as reference points and, when the vehicle deviates from the driving path, the apparatus issues an alarm or provides assistance so as to make the vehicle be driven within the driving path.
