<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-type air conditioning system and a centralized control method thereof, which can perform centralized control of all indoor units connected on a communication line by only the operation of an individual remote control. <P>SOLUTION: In a multi-type air conditioning system 1 with multi-type air conditioners 2, 3 of a plurality of systems, each one unit among the plurality of indoor units 21-23 and 31-33 is configured as main indoor units 21, 31 for each multi-type air conditioners 2, 3 and communication from the main indoor units 21, 31 to outdoor units 20, 30 and other indoor units 22, 23, 32, 33 is made possible.
