<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purging method of an electric injection device, which enables quick and easy change of resin material and color, in purging in the injection device. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes: a first purging step of continuously discharging a molten resin in a cylinder barrel by rotating a screw at a predetermined rotating speed for a predetermined time while setting the screw so as not to move in an advancing direction; and a second purging step for intermittently discharging the molten resin in the cylinder barrel, the step including a measuring operation for rotating the screw at a predetermined rotating speed to move a predetermined stroke screw backward and an injection operation for discharging the measured molten resin by the forward movement of the screw. The continuous rotation forward movement position of the screw in the first purging step is set to be forward of the injection operation forward movement position of the screw in the second purging step.
