<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spot welding device which can sufficiently grow a nugget in a contact face between workpieces when spot welding is performed to a laminated body formed by laminating a plurality of the workpieces. <P>SOLUTION: A welding gun 14 constituting the spot welding device includes a lower tip 32 and an upper tip 36 as welding tips, and pressuring members 38a and 38b. The pressuring members are displaced by the action of air cylinders 46a and 46b provided to a holder 40. The pressuring members 38a and 38b, together with the upper tip 36, come into contact with a metal plate 76a arranged on the outermost part of a laminated body 70a when displaced so as to approach the lower tip 32. At this time, the pressurizing force (F1+F2+F3) of the upper tip 36 and the pressuring members 38a and 38b is controlled so as to be balanced with the pressurizing force (F4) of the lower tip 32. In this state, energization from the upper tip 36 to the lower tip 32 is performed.
