<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of enhancing the estimation accuracy of the dispersion value of transmission path noise when the dispersion value of transmission path noise is estimated by converting the BER (Bit Error Rate) of data currently subjected to puncturing. <P>SOLUTION: A depuncture unit 44 performs depuncturing for the input data. A sum-product decoding unit 46 decodes the depunctured data. A BER derivation unit 48 derives the error rate of data based on the decoded data, and the depunctured data. A conversion unit 50 converts the error rate of data thus derived into a ratio of signal and noise with reference to a first table. A correction unit 52 corrects the ratio of signal and noise thus converted with reference to a second table. The sum-product decoding unit 46 uses the dispersion value of noise corresponding to the corrected ratio of signal and noise in decoding. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
