The method involves producing electrical power using a turbine (4) by relaxing working fluid (1) circulating in an organic rankine cycle circuit (2), and heating the working fluid by coupling low temperature heat into the rankine cycle circuit, where the working fluid is heated before entering into the turbine. The working fluid is divided into two partial streams (6, 7). A state of the working fluid in one of the partial streams is changed by increasing temperature, and the working fluid in the partial streams is vaporized. An independent claim is also included for a low temperature power plant comprising an organic rankine cycle circuit.
