<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor diagnostic device having a function to diagnose whether a detection signal is abnormal and a guarantee function to guarantee that the diagnostic function is not faulty. <P>SOLUTION: A sensor diagnostic device includes: a first detection element 51 (detection means) that converts negative pressure of a booster into an electrical signal and outputs the converted signal as a detection signal; a second detection element 54 (diagnostic detection means) that is provided separately from the first detection element 51 and outputs a diagnostic detection signal; a comparator circuit 57 (comparison diagnosis means) that diagnoses whether the first detection element 51 has an error on the basis of comparison between the diagnostic detection signal and the detection signal; a generation circuit 58 (simulated error generation means) that generates a simulated error signal corresponding to the diagnostic detection signal at an abnormal value; and a signal switching circuit 56 (switching means) that switches the diagnostic detection signal used for the comparison by the comparator circuit 57 to the simulated error signal on a predetermined cycle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
