<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery in which a short circuit or the like does not occur at high temperature and a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate are aligned with each other easily. <P>SOLUTION: The secondary battery includes: a first polar plate made up of a first active material coating part in which a base material is coated with a first active material and a first plain part; a second polar plate made up of a second active material coating part in which a base material is coated with a second active material and a second plain part; and a separator intervening between the first and second polar plates.
