<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upright recording device having properties hardly causing falling, even when a fall prevention stand is not provided. <P>SOLUTION: The upright inkjet printer 1 whose height direction dimension H when installed is greater than the depth direction dimension D thereof includes: an inkjet recording head 59; and a conveying drive roller 46 formed of a shaft body extending in a direction perpendicular to a paper conveying direction, and configured to convey the paper with rotation thereof. The inkjet recording head 59 and the conveying drive roller 46 are located in the center area of the printer in the depth direction depth D.
