VIBRATION ISOLATION DAMPER FOR RAILWAY VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration isolation damper for a railway vehicle having a full active function and compact in size.

SOLUTION: The vibration isolation damper 5 for the railway vehicle has, between a cylinder 10 and an oil tank 18, a hydraulic circuit which can switch on-loading control for increasing the resistance of a working fluid which flows accompanied by the expansion and contraction of the cylinder 10 and unloading control for decreasing the resistance of the working fluid. The hydraulic circuit includes: a semi-active circuit part having a first proportional relief valve 21 which performs the on-loading control by adjusting an opening of a valve with respect to the elongation motion of the cylinder, and a second proportional relief valve 23 which performs the on-loading control by adjusting the opening of the valve with respect to the contraction motion of the cylinder; and a full active circuit part which has a pump 31 for supplying the working fluid from the oil tank 18 to the semi-active circuit part, and a return passage 46 for returning the working fluid to the oil tank 18 when supply-side pressure from the pump 31 exceeds a prescribed value.
