<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet-type rotary electric machine displaying high efficiency and high performance in a wide range from low speed to high speed and to provide a compressor using the electric machine. <P>SOLUTION: A rotor of the permanent magnet-type rotary electric machine includes: a rotor core; a plurality of insertion holes formed in the rotor core; and a plurality of permanent magnets inserted into the insertion holes. The insertion hole into which the permanent magnet is inserted is divided into at least two per pole of the rotor. The permanent magnets inserted into the insertion holes are asymmetrically arranged to a magnetic pole center of the rotor. Thus, reduction of influence of an anti-magnetic field by armature magnetic flux, a torque increase when the same current is energized, reduction of an eddy current loss of the permanent magnet and a weak field operation with small current are realized. Thus, the highly efficient and high performance permanent magnet-type rotary electric machine suitable for high speed rotation is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
