<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a magnetic flux from an exposed portion of a rotor from axially leaking to a stator when the rotor is axially exposed from the stator, in a variable flux motor having a rotor with permanent magnets buried in a rotor core. <P>SOLUTION: A variable flux motor 1, 2 includes: a stator 21 having coils wound on a stator core; a rotor 30 having magnets 36, 38 buried in a magnetic rotor core and rotatable radially outwardly or radially inwardly in face of the stator; an actuator 40 for changing an axial relative position of the rotor to the stator to adjust a magnetic flux of the magnets interlinked with the coils; and a ringed magnetic member 70 axially aligned with the stator and disposed so as to face at least part of an exposed portion of the rotor when the rotor is axially exposed from the stator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
