<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article conveyance facility capable of maintaining necessary conveyance capabilities while reducing power when braking a servo-controlled electric motor in a suspension state at the time of a conveyance operation of a conveyance device. <P>SOLUTION: The article conveyance facility includes a braking means that can freely be switched between a braking state in which an electric motor is braked and a release state in which the braking is canceled, and is switched to the release state when power is supplied, and to the braking state when power is not supplied, and a load state discrimination means for discriminating between a high-load state and a low-load state. When the electric motor is kept in a suspension state in the high-load state, a control means causes the braking means to be in the release state and brakes a rotation operation of the electric motor by servo lock by a driving control means. When the electric motor is kept in a suspension state in the low-load state, the control means suspends the servo control of the electric motor by the driving control means and switches the braking means to the braking state, thereby braking the rotation operation of the electric motor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
