<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental implant that makes it possible to provide degrees of freedom to the design of a dental prosthesis fixing device by narrowing the outer form of the portion of an abutment to which the dental prosthesis fixing device is attached. <P>SOLUTION: The dental implant comprises a dental implant fixture 1 formed with a fitting hole 1a on its oral cavity side and cut with an internal thread portion 1b on the side opposite to its oral cavity side, into which external thread portions provided to protrude from a cover screw and a heeling abutment are engaged; and an abutment 2 provided at one end with a fitting portion 2a non-rotatably fitted into the fitting hole 1a in the dental implant fixture 1, and having on the other end of the fitting portion 2a a truncated-conical gum piercing portion 2b and a columnar portion 2c that is not circular in cross section, the fitting portion 2a being provided with an internal thread portion 2d whose inside diameter is smaller than the inside diameter of the internal thread portion 1b of the dental implant fixture 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
