<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct color unevenness caused by differences in ejection characteristics among nozzles at suitable timings in accordance with secular change in the color unevenness to maintain a favorable image output without conspicuous color unevenness, in recording an image by use of a plurality of kinds of ink. <P>SOLUTION: Parameters are prepared, for colors formed by superposing at least two colors of ink. The parameters are determined so as to reduce differences in color on a print medium caused by individual variations in ejection characteristics of a plurality of nozzles. For printing, a first color signal included in individual pixels is corrected to a second color signal by using the parameters. Information on the ejection amount characteristics of the plurality of nozzles is acquired appropriately, and by estimating changes in color on the basis of the information, suitable timings for overwriting the parameters are determined. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
