PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve highly accurately detecting a layer boundary including an attenuation region by selecting a type of a layer to be detected in accordance with a state of a retina of an eye to be examined and detecting the layer based on anatomical features of the retina layer.

SOLUTION: The image processor for analyzing the retina layer of the eye to be examined includes: feature extraction means for extracting a feature quantity expressing anatomical features in the eye to be examined based on a projection image acquired from a tomographic image of the retina layer and a fundus image of the eye to be examined; determination means for determining a type of the anatomical features based on the feature quantity; layer structure detection means for determining the layer to be detected in the retina layer in accordance with the determined type of the anatomical features and detecting the structure of the determined layer in the tomographic image; and layer structure change means for changing the structure of the layer included in the region having the anatomical features out of the structure of the layer detected by the layer structure detection mean.
