<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning medium storage unit capable of feeding out a cleaning medium stored in a storage space to a medium carrying passage, suppressing a deterioration speed of a feeding/storage member such as a belt or a roller sending and storing the cleaning medium into the storage space from a medium carrying passage side, and reducing maintenance cost accompanied by the replacement of a driving member. <P>SOLUTION: In a cleaning medium storage part 7, in a normal time, a feeding/storage belt 74 attached to one end of a first arm 71, and the cleaning medium 7a stored in the storage space 70a are separated from each other. When a solenoid 73 pulls a second arm 72, the first arm 71 is rotated around a rotary shaft 71a by a force applied to a connection 72a.
