<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion chamber structure of a diesel engine capable of suppressing the generation of smoke and the mixing of soot into lubricating oil caused by flowing out fuel regardless of the load of the combustion chamber even when the fuel flows out outside of a cavity. <P>SOLUTION: In the combustion chamber of the diesel engine which has a cylinder, a piston reciprocating in the cylinder, a cylinder head, and a fuel injector for radially injecting fuel from the substantial center of the cylinder and in which a cavity concaved to the inside direction of the piston is formed in the top surface of the piston, the combustion chamber is constituted of the top surface of the piston including the cavity, the cylinder, and the surface of the cylinder head facing the top surface of the piston, and a squish part is formed between the top surface of the piston excepting the cavity and the lower surface of the cylinder head, a concave is arranged in at least one of the lower surface of the cylinder head constituting the squish part and the top surface of the piston. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
