<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widen a rotatable range of a passing-through part in a webbing winding device which winds up webbing fitted to an occupant of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: In this webbing winding device 10, a base 76 is integrally provided with a ring 72 and a ring 74 in a protector 70. A webbing 30 extended from a spool 20 is made to pass through the base 76, and the protector 70 is rotated in response to the fluctuation of the wound-up amount of the webbing 30 around the spool 20. Further, the protector 70 protects the webbing 30 by separating it from a frame 12. The ring 72 and the ring 74 are provided over the whole circumference of the spool 20 freely to rotate in the circumferential direction of the spool 20. With this structure, even if the webbing 30 is wound up around the spool 20, since the rotation of the ring 72 and the ring 74 is not limited, a rotatable range of the ring 72 and the ring 74 and, in turn, the base 76 can be widened, and a range of choice of the extension angle of the webbing 30 from the spool 20 can be widened. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
