To determine blood glucose values with good accuracy, the location of a vascular area is specified using a first wavelength at which the absorption by hemoglobin, which is a characteristic component of blood, is high and absorbance data measured using a second wavelength at which the absorption by glucose is high is separated into that of the vascular area and that which is not.
