The assembly has a brake pipe (12) connecting a break pressure generator (10) with a wheel brake (5). An inlet-side pressure modulation valve (13) is inserted between the generator and brake in the pipe. A pump conveys a pressurizing agent from a low-pressure accumulator (8) to the brake. A piston (6) is positioned in its initial- or intermediate position by a storage spring (7) in a hydraulically unloaded state of the brake so that the accumulator is completely or partially emptied by a pump (9) in a direction of the generator to hydraulically open check valves (1, 2) towards the generator.
