The display (1) has a transparent, light-emitting displaying unit (2) displaying picture information on a side facing toward a viewer (4). A switchable filter (3) controls wavelength and intensity of light on a side of the displaying unit facing toward the viewer, where the light passes through the displaying unit. The transparent displaying unit comprises an organic LED, and the filter has electro-chromic properties and a polarizer. An object (5) is displayed or arranged behind the displaying unit, and a color filter layer is provided between a display device and the filter.
