<p>A deformable insert (10) which is adapted to be located in a can prior to filling and to dispense the contents of the can after it has been opened, consists of a central portion or base (11) having separable side portions (20, 21), a side wall (12) hinged to one side of the base (11) and a lifting arm (13) hinged to the other side of the base (11), the arrangement being such that when the insert (10) is located into a can having its lid affixed prior to filling, the side wall (12) sits against the inner wall of the can and seals under the lid, the lifting arm (13) is adjacent the inner wall of the can opposite the side wall and the side portions (20, 21) of the base separate to provide an opening into the tubular body so that the contents may be filled into the can.</p> |
