<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion power storage device in which the negative electrode active material of a negative electrode plate can be reliably doped with lithium ions produced by melting a metallic lithium plate arranged in an electrode group. <P>SOLUTION: A conductive shielding material 33 has a structure where a negative electrode active material 37 is formed on at least one surface of a metal foil 35 for power collection. Since the conductive shielding material 33 exists between a metallic lithium plate 31 and a positive electrode plate 17, the metallic lithium plate 31 is sandwiched by a negative electrode plate 19 and the negative electrode active material 37 formed on the metal foil 35 for power collection of the conductive shielding material 33.
