<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a possible problem of destruction of a receiving part in a neighbor ONU by excess light intensity or occurrence of a receiving error in a distant ONU by lack of light intensity in transmitting signals with the same intensity to the plurality of ONUs whose distances from an OLT differ significantly, while an area in which the ONU accommodated by the OLT can be located is desired to be expanded in a PON for improvement of the OLT's accommodation rate of the ONUs. <P>SOLUTION: An OLT manages information on light intensity and a communication bit rate that can be received by each ONU, and transmits a signal by adequate light intensity and communication bit rate. The OLT determines a signal transmission plan to each ONU, based on an accumulation state of transmission waiting information of a buffer in the own device; and notifies each ONU of the signal transmission plan inserted into a header or payload in a down frame, prior to transmitting accumulation information (main signal). The ONU acquires the signal transmission plan of the OLT from time information of a down intensity map, and receives only the signal having the light intensity and communication bit rate adequate for its own device and blocks signals other than the signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
