<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin film solar cell and a method for manufacturing the same in which leakage from end sections can be prevented and output can be enhanced by obtaining a large area of effective power generation region. <P>SOLUTION: In a thin film solar cell, a cell in which a transparent electrode layer, a photoelectric conversion layer and a back surface electrode layer are laminated is disposed on a transparent insulating substrate, and a plurality of the cells are connected in series to form a cell string, and a bus bar is placed on the back surface electrode layer of an end cell which forms the cell string, and the photoelectric conversion layer is provided at the end section, in the direction of the series connection, of the transparent electrode layer. In a planar view, the end section, in the direction of the series connection, of the back surface electrode layer at the cell string end and the end section, in the direction of the series connection, of the transparent electrode layer at the cell string end are not overlapped, and the bus bar and the transparent electrode layer of the end cell which forms the cell string are at least partially overlapped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
