<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement an intra-prediction scheme enabling partial decoding. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus is provided which includes a permutation section for permuting pixel values included in a macroblock in an image such that pixel values in common pixel positions in adjacent pixel blocks included in the macroblock become adjacent after permutation, and a prediction section for generating predicted pixel values of pixels in a first pixel position of the pixel blocks from the pixel values permuted by the permutation section and reference pixel values in the image corresponding to the first pixel position without using correlations with the pixel values in the other pixel positions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
