<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain output linearity and maintain excellent output characteristics in a total dynamic range. <P>SOLUTION: A semiconductor integrated circuit has: a signal processing circuit which feeds a triangular wave current as an excitation current to exciting means for a magnetic material core, detects each of spike-shaped voltage waveforms of positive and negative signs output from a detection coil provided for the magnetic material core at a timing of switching the polarity of the triangular wave current, respectively, measures a time interval between a spike-shaped voltage waveform and a next detected spike-shaped voltage waveform having a sign opposite to that of the precedent spike-shaped voltage waveform, and when detecting the intensity of an external magnetic field on the basis of the time interval, outputs an intensity signal of the external magnetic field based on the time interval; and a clock control circuit which performs control so as to stop the output of the intensity signal from the signal processing circuit during, at least preceding stop periods which are before the peaks of a triangular wave and last for 1 to 5% of the triangular wave period T thereof and following stop periods which are after the peaks of the triangular wave and last for 1 to 5% of the period thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
