<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a rubber composition for appropriately suppressing reduction in coupling function activity of a silane coupling agent and obtaining a rubber composition with lower heat generation. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a rubber composition which contains a rubber component (A) comprising at least one selected from natural rubber and synthetic diene rubber, a filler containing an inorganic filler (B), a specified silane coupling agent (C) and at least one of vulcanization accelerator (D) selected from guanidines, sulfenamides and thiazoles, includes kneading the rubber composition in a plurality of stages. In a first stage of kneading, the rubber component (A), the whole or a part of the inorganic filler (B), the whole or a part of the silane coupling agent (C) and the vulcanization accelerator (D) are added and kneaded. The number X of molecules of an organic acid compound (E) in the rubber composition in the first stage is in a specified relation with respect to the number Y of molecules of the vulcanization accelerator (D). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
