<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinball game machine capable of improving fun as a performance means for a holding number reporting means. <P>SOLUTION: The pinball game machine reports the increase of a holding number on the basis of the reception of a holding increase command indicating that the holding number has increased, and includes a read-ahead determination means for determining, at the point of time when a symbol start means detects a game ball, the contents of variation storage information acquired at the detection time.
