<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure which can prevent, at the time of adjusting relative positions between two members, an increase in a user's time and effort taken for the adjustment of the relative positions between the members. <P>SOLUTION: A lens block 33 comprises an image-formation lens system 31, an image sensor 33, and a structure 35. The image-formation lens system 31 comprises a lens 40. The image sensor 33 comprises a line-type photoelectric conversion element 42. The structure 35 comprises a receiving base 47, a second member 48, and a first position adjustment mechanism 49. The receiving base 47 has the image-formation lens system 31 fixed thereon and comprises a first flat wall 55. The second member 48 has a second flat wall 67 overlapping with the first flat wall 55 to be fixed and has the image sensor 33 fixed thereto. A first position adjustment mechanism 49 comprises a first notch 71 provided on the first flat wall 55 and a second notch 72 provided on the second flat wall 67.
