<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission device and a method for controlling the same, which allow radiation power to be stabilized. <P>SOLUTION: The transmission device comprises: a modulator 20 which modulates an information code to generate an intermediate signal; an intermediate amplification unit 25 for amplifying the intermediate signal; a power amplification unit 29 for amplifying power of the intermediately amplified signal; and a control unit 10a for controlling a bias voltage of the power amplification unit.
