<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal detection device, server device including the same, terminal detection method, and program capable of detecting connections of second and subsequent terminals in addition to a first terminal when the multiple terminals are connected to a port of a layer 2 switch via a line concentrator without having a virtual LAN (VLAN) function. <P>SOLUTION: A terminal detection device 10 includes: an ARP detection part 11 for detecting an ARP packet which is originated in a network having a layer 2 switch 30 with a VLAN function; and a connection state determination part 12 for detecting a port, where multiple MAC addresses including the MAC address of an origination source of the ARP packet are registered, with the layer 2 switch 30 as an object on the basis of the detection of the ARP packet when the ARP packet is detected, and determining that a terminal is newly connected to the detected port via a line concentrator without having the VLAN function when the port is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
