Solvent resistant coating agent

A coating agent consists of (a) 50-10% (wt.) polymer and/or oligomer containing N-methylol and/or N-methylolether groups and (b) 50-90% (wt.) polyesters containing -OH and -COOH groups and produced by esterification of specific mixtures, including propanediol. The coatings have high gloss, good pigmentability and resistance to yellowing. Also resistant to solvents like xylene and to acids and alkalies. They have exceptional corrosion resistance properties and weathering fastness properties.
