METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LENS, DEVICE FOR MANUFACTURING LENS, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING OPTICAL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a lens having refractive index distribution for obtaining a lens having desired refractive index distribution even in the case of manufacturing the lens in an environment whose temperature control is difficult.

SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing a lens having refractive index distribution includes: a first process of contacting a monomer whose refractive index before polymerization and after polymerization is different from the refractive index of polymer with a structure configured of polymer; a second process of diffusing the contacted monomer in the structure: and a third process of polymerizing the monomer. The second process includes: irradiating at least the 50% of a face which is in parallel with a direction in which the monomer is diffused among the faces configuring the structure with the rays of light; and measuring the strength of the rays of light transmitted through the structure in a prescribed area, and the third process is started when the measured strength of the rays of light reaches a prescribed value.
