<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably remove a manufactured cylinder from a jig for supporting two cylinders from inside in friction stir welding after manufacturing one cylinder by welding the end parts of the two cylinders to each other with friction stir welding, and to provide a good quality of the welded part. <P>SOLUTION: The jig for cylinder friction stir welding 10 which supports the two cylinders W1, W2 when manufacturing one cylinder by welding the end parts of the two cylinders W1, W2 to each other with friction stir welding includes: a mandrel 30 for supporting the two cylinders W1, W2 at the welding position of the two cylinders W1, W2 from the inner side thereof; and a backing member 50 arranged between the two cylinders W1, W2 and the mandrel 30.
