<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interference spectrophotometer that does not suffer from influence of mechanical vibration and acoustic vibration even when a movable mirror is moved. <P>SOLUTION: The interference spectrophotometer 1 includes a light source 10 for emitting light; a fixed mirror 85; the movable mirror 62; a slide supporting mechanism 50 that supports the movable mirror 62 and reciprocates the movable mirror 62 back and forth in an optical axis direction of incident light; a beam splitter 74 that receives the light from the light source 10, splits the light into two beams toward the fixed mirror 85 and the movable mirror 62, receives the return light reflected by the fixed mirror 85 and the return light reflected by the movable mirror 62, and synthesizes them into interference light; and a light detection unit 20 on which a sample is placed, and which detects the interference light that has passed through or reflected by the sample.
