The waste water treatment equipment (1) is provided with: a reaction tank (10), wherein water to be treated is introduced from the bottom (100) and brought into contact with microbial aggregates contained in a layer near the bottom (100) and is thereafter discharged from the top as treated water; a gas bubble-separating screen (11) that contacts microbial aggregates with attached bubbles of gas generated from said layer and separates said gas bubbles; a gas bubble-collecting tube (12) that collects and guides the bubbles of gas or gas bubbles separating by the gas bubble-separating screen (11) to the vicinity of the liquid surface in the reaction tank (10); and a side surface screen (13) that separates the liquid phase at the top of the reaction tank (10), which contains microbial aggregates, into microbial aggregates and treated water. The reaction tank (10) can be provided with a central screen (14), which contacts microbial aggregates that remain on the outside of the gas bubble-collecting tube (12) and separates gas bubbles from said microbial aggregates. Treated water with pH adjusted in an adjustment tank (18) can be supplied to the reaction tank (10).
