PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing Veratrum maackii extract is provided to promote collagen synthesis and to ensure anti-wrinkling effect without side effects. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for anti-wrinkling contains 0.0001-10 weight% of Veratrum maackii extract as an active ingredient. The extract is isolated using purified water, methanol, ethanol, propanol, butanol, glycerol, propylene glycol, 1,3-butylene glycol, methyl acetate, ethyl acetate, benzene, hexane, diethyl ether or dichloromethane. The cosmetic composition is used in the form of liquid, cream, paste, or solid phase.
