<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of improving a developing capacity while suppressing carrier deposition; and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: This developing device includes: a developer storage section for storing developers that include small particle-size magnetic carriers having a small means particle size, large particle-size magnetic carriers having a means particle size larger than that of the small particle-size magnetic carriers, and toner particles having a particle size smaller than that of the small particle-size magnetic carriers; a developer carrier carrying the developers in a developer storage section on the revolving surface thereof; and magnetism generating means attracting the developers to the peripheral face of the developer carrier by a magnetic force generated by a plurality of magnetic poles that are disposed to align along the peripheral face at the inner side of a loop of the peripheral face of the developer carrier. In this developing device, the electric resistance of the small particle-size magnetic carrier is 10<SP POS="POST">12</SP>-10<SP POS="POST">13</SP>(Ω) in dynamic resistance and the electric resistance of the large particle-size magnetic carrier is 10<SP POS="POST">8</SP>-10<SP POS="POST">9</SP>(Ω) in dynamic resistance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
