<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel search query creation supporting apparatus capable of simplifying creation, correction and verification of a search query having a complicated logical structure, and a graphical user interface (GUI) production system, method and program. <P>SOLUTION: According to a GUI of the present invention, in response to dragging a phrase included in a sample document or clicking a facet in a facet list, a search expression is automatically created from the dragged phrase or the clicked facet in accordance with a search grammar that a document search engine supports. According to the present invention, even without expert knowledge about the search grammar, a special search syntax (search expression) can be easily and intuitively created.
