<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide feathers for a shuttlecock which are light weight and include highly rigid feather shaft parts while securing good visibility. <P>SOLUTION: The artificial feathers 10 for a shuttlecock are implanted annularly on the periphery of a circular upper end face of a hemispheric base part 2 of a shuttlecock 1, the base part 2 being a lower part of the shuttlecock 1. Each of the feathers 10 includes thin film shape feather part 12 and feather shaft part 20 continuously extended toward a lower terminal end 22 from an upper tip end 21. A film face normal line direction of the feather part directing outward the shuttle cock is set as a surface direction, each of the feather shaft parts is fixed to the feather part from the tip end to the lower end of the feather part and includes: a base shaft part 30 which extends in a direction from the tip end toward the terminal end and is formed of a white resin material; and a bar shape reinforcing part 40 formed of a deep colored fiber reinforced resin fixed in a state in which the resin is laminated on the back face 14 of the base shaft part while extending in the vertical direction.
