摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the variation in pixel electrode potential caused by ON/OFF operation of a gate voltage in an IPS system liquid crystal display device in which the number of layers is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A pixel electrode 101 is formed on a TFT substrate 100 made of glass. A gate insulating film 103 is formed by covering the pixel electrode 101, an inorganic passivation film 109 is formed on the gate insulating film and a common electrode 111 is formed on the inorganic passivation film. Liquid crystal molecules 200 are driven by electric lines of force in a slit part 112 formed in the common electrode 111. A capacitive electrode 108 connected to the common electrode 111 is formed between the pixel electrode 101 and the gate insulating film 103 and an additional capacitor 150 is formed between the pixel electrodes 101. The variation in pixel electrode potential due to variation in gate voltage can be suppressed by the additional capacitor 150. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
