<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead storage battery in which stress concentration on a root portion of a power collection part does not occur and the power collection part is not broken even when an expanded lattice is expanded in the vertical direction. <P>SOLUTION: The lead storage battery includes an electrode plate group consisting of: a battery case; and a plurality of positive electrode plates and a plurality of negative electrode plates that are placed alternately through a separator in the battery case, and the electrode plate group is held in the battery case. A side of a lower end of the negative electrode plate is mounted on a saddle provided on the bottom surface of the battery case, and a side of a lower end of the positive electrode plate is located above the saddle and does not contact the saddle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
